Every First-Party Nintendo Switch Game You Can Play on the Switch 2

The launch lineup for the Nintendo Switch 2 is pretty underwhelming, with Mario Kart World being the only big new first-party title for the console upon its release. Thankfully, the Switch 2 is also able to play regular Switch games, meaning that there are technically hundreds of other titles that early adopters can sink their teeth into.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate official promo art

As mentioned above, a handful of first-party Switch games aren’t fully compatible with the Switch 2. In most cases, it’s a simple case of using the Joy-Cons from your old console, although one or two games have technical issues that are currently being looked into. Nintendo of Japan keeps a comprehensive list of compatibility issues here and will update the list as and when these problems are resolved.
