Palworld PS5 Players May Want to Hold Off on Playing the Game

Unfortunately, the ongoing autosave issues impacting the PlayStation 5 version of Palworld are still not resolved at the time of this writing. Palworld is an early access survival game that debuted on PC and Xbox in January 2024 to a great deal of success. Months later, Palworld made its way to PlayStation 5, but it hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing on Sony’s console.

Palworld on PS5 suffers from a serious autosave issue where, instead of saving, the game spits out errors, causing players to lose huge chunks of progress when they eventually turn it off. In the more serious cases, some players have reported their Palworld saves being completely wiped, with some players losing hundreds of hours of progress. Needless to say, major tehnical errors like this are incredibly frustrating.

Why You Should Revisit Palworld in 2025

With Palworld seeing a lot of growth since its early access release in 2024, it may be time for some players to revisit Pocketpair’s ambitious game.

Sadly, the Palworld PS5 save errors persist. While there are those on PS5 that can play the game and have no problems, others continue to run into the issue. The official Palworld Twitter account acknowledged the ongoing PS5 save problems, keeping fans updated on the teams’ progress. While “progress has been made,” it was impossible for the update to be released in time for the weekend. However, a “possible fix” is being implemented and run through QA, though the whole process will take “a little more time.” The team issued an apology to Palworld players on PS5 and promised to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Considering the potential risks of playing Palworld on PS5 while the error remains, it may be best for fans of the game on the platform to wait for an update before diving back into their world.

Palworld PS5 Autosave Error is Still a Problem

While this particular autosave bug seems to be impacting the PS5 version of Palworld specifically, the PC and Xbox versions of the game have their fair share of problems as well. Palworld bugs and technical problems have been a reality since the game’s initial release in early access, and it remains to be seen when the game will be polished enough to officially release in its 1.0 state.

The Palworld team will continue fixing bugs and addressing other technical problems as they arise. In the meantime, fans of the game can also expect new content to be added to the experience.
