How to Get All Flavored Glob Recipes in Grounded
Flavored Glob Recipe Location
The first step towards getting Flavored Globs in Grounded is to obtain the Black Anthill Lab Keycard, also known as the Assistant Manager’s Keycard, by completing the Black Anthill Lab. The Black Anthill Keycard has a few different uses, but to get the Flavored Glob recipes, you’ll need it to open the door to the Sandbox Lab Outpost, which you can find to the south of the burning hot Sandbox as pictured. Once safely inside the Sandbox Outpost, you can find the Sandbox Chip on the table, which contains the required data to unlock all Flavored Glob recipes.
When you’ve grabbed the Sandbox Chip, return and speak to BURG.L in the Oak Lab, selecting the dialogue option that says ‘I found an auxiliary chip.’ In the Science Shop, you can then purchase Advanced Smithing: Flavored Globs for 2,500 Raw Science, which gives you all the Flavored Glob recipes that you can make from specific resources found in the yard, as detailed in the table below:

How To Craft Flavored Globs in Grounded
Once you’ve got the recipes to make Flavored Globs in Grounded, you’ll also need to craft and make an oven if you don’t already have one. You can make an oven using the following materials:
- x10 Clay
- x4 EverChar Coal Chunks
- x4 Boiling Clands
After you’ve crafted an oven, you can then use it to make your choice of Flavored Globs. You can add up to 5 Globs to the oven baking queue at a time, with each taking around a few minutes of real time to make. When you’ve got enough Flavored Globs, you can then upgrade your choice of weapon using the Smithing Station. However, it’s important to note that the ability to upgrade weapons with Flavored Globs only unlocks once you’ve upgraded a weapon past level 5 with Sturdy Whetstone. This opens up the mint, salt, mighty, sour, and spicy upgrade paths for you to choose between.
If you’re not sure which type of Glob to choose when upgrading weapons, a good starting point is either Salty or Spicy, as many bugs in the yard are weak to these types of damage, whereas others are often more situational. Mighty Globs are also another way to upgrade weapons past level 5 without adding specific elemental damage, making them a solid, all-rounder choice to increase things like base damage.
After progressing further through the main story, you can also unlock more recipes for the oven, including different tier 3 Jewel recipes, such as Mighty Jewels. You can also use it to make Mushroom Bricks in Grounded, a tier 2 base-building resource crafted using x5 Mushroom Slurries. There are also more tier 3 recipes to unlock for the oven, like Ash Cement.
