Diablo 4 Players Are Begging Blizzard to Change Cellars

Diablo 4 players are begging Blizzard to make significant changes to the Cellar system, with some believing the current implementation feels like a waste of time. While Diablo 4‘s Cellars are still pretty useful for low-level characters, they’re not exactly worth even the small amount of time they take endgame players to beat right now.

Cellars have been in Diablo 4 since its launch over two years ago. The implementation of them has remained largely unchanged since then, with Blizzard not making significant changes to the feature in subsequent Seasons. They are mainly used as a location for side quests, and are extremely swift to complete. A couple of years back, another Diablo 4 player completed 1,270 Cellars in total, sharing their findings that even then, they weren’t quite worth the time and effort.

Diablo 4 Season 9’s S-Tier Sorcerer Build is Surprisingly Easy to Accomplish

Diablo 4 Season 9 is putting one Sorcerer build in the spotlight, but it’s much easier to complete than some of the other top-tier builds this season.

It seems that some things never change. Redditor AnubisIncGaming started a thread asking Blizzard to make Diablo 4‘s Cellars “not a complete waste of time,” even proposing a few solutions. They mention that Blizzard could “put a guaranteed event in it, or a whisper cache, or something.” AnubisIncGaming even points out that right now, Cellars “have load screens longer than it takes to clear the cellar,” which seemed to be a particular problem that a few fans in the thread agreed with.

Some Diablo 4 Players Think That Cellars Are “A Complete Waste of Time” Right Now

Although there have been cases of Diablo 4 players getting very lucky from Cellars in the past, instances are few and far between. There are numerous potential solutions to the problem as it stands, but guaranteeing players better rewards appears to be the fan-favorite choice in this particular thread. It was pointed out that “they could be removed and people would not notice right away,” which is where the feature currently stands in some players’ eyes.

While there’s no guarantee Cellars will receive any changes going forward, Blizzard has always been receptive to player feedback in Diablo 4. For example, a recent Diablo 4 update made a much-appreciated quality-of-life change, which made it quicker to transmog all armor pieces at once. It’s a small thing, but it demonstrates how Blizzard is addressing players’ complaints. Maybe if enough noise is made, Diablo 4 Cellars can get a buff after all.
