As spotted by TheGamer, a recent leak has shown off footage from an early build of Route 666, an unannounced, canceled spin-off of Ride to Hell: Retribution. The footage was posted in a Reddit thread by TanFlo1997 over on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, with the build dated to April 2013, just a few short months before Ride to Hell: Retribution‘s disastrous release. Canceled Ride to Hell: Retribution Spin-Off Leaks After 12 Years
According to the Reddit thread, a working build of Route 666 was recently leaked on Hidden Palace. The game was allegedly “at least 3 months away from release before it was canned.” It’s not clear exactly why Route 666 was eventually canceled, although Ride to Hell: Retribution becoming arguably the worst game in the 2013 video game calendar likely played a significant part in it.
There’s always a morbid curiosity when it comes to the worst games of all time.
