There are several great cards to collect in Pokemon TCG Pocket as of its Eevee Grove expansion, and while most of these may differ based on whether one is just trying to get the coolest cards in the game or the best ones in terms of deckbuilding, some do overlap. Most Gold Crown cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket are incredibly rare, so they are arguably among the best things to get in a pack, and they are typically all dedicated to powerful, playable cards too. Collecting all the cards in the game is no easy task, and it can be easier or harder for deckbuilders to get what they want depending on RNG.
With an ever-changing meta and the introduction of new cards on a monthly basis, Pokemon TCG Pocket players who are starting now will have a very hard time catching up with everything so far. Making decks can seem very straightforward, but there are some nuances to even the simplest decks in the meta. Still, for both newcomers and veterans, now is a good time to start building two specific meta decks, which are surprisingly easy to put together. These are dedicated to Incineroar Ex in one case, and Solgaleo Ex in the other.

Pokemon TCG Pocket’s New S-Tier Deck Takes an Iconic Card to New Heights
Pokemon TCG Pocket has a new S-tier deck in its current meta, and it’s using a new powerful card in combination with an old one.
Celestial Guardians is arguably one of the best expansions to open booster packs of because it comes with a decently vast selection of cards that can appeal to both collectors and deckbuilders. It’s hard to predict which cards or sets will withstand the test of time, but Celestial Guardians has many great cards to get. Incineroar Ex and Solgaleo Ex have both been meta picks since they were released, thanks to the former’s powerful 1-Energy attack and its bursty 3-Energy attack, whereas Solgaleo Ex is a sturdy and reliable Metal card with 180 HP and a 120-damage attack for just 2 Energy.
Most meta Incineroar Ex decks typically run the same set of cards, with small differences. The cards needed for the core of the deck are:
- 2x Litten – Heat Tackle (Celestial Guardians)
- 1x Torracat – Heat Tackle (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Incineroar Ex (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Poke Ball (Launch promo)
- 2x Professor’s Research (Launch promo)
- 1x Pokemon Communication (Space-Time Smackdown)
- 1x or 2x Giant Cape (Space-Time Smackdown)
- 0x or 1x Rocky Helmet (Space-Time Smackdown)
- 1x Cyrus (Space-Time Smackdown)
- 2x Rare Candy (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Lillie (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Hau (Eevee Grove)
This deck can also run one copy of Red Card, Mars, or Sabrina, or all three depending on which cards one is cutting. However, the core of the deck includes mostly Celestial Guardians cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket, a handful from Space-Time Smackdown, multiple promos, and finally the new Hau Supporter from Eevee Grove. This lets Incineroar Ex deal 80 guaranteed damage with its first attack and up to 170 with its second, making it incredibly strong and consistent. The deck does suffer against Oricorio, but it’s not an unwinnable matchup.
Considering the typical deck list, players can safely open Celestial Guardians and get most of the cards they need. Also, Celestial Guardians was released at the end of April, so any players who have been around for a few months will most likely have the core of the deck already.

Pokemon TCG Pocket’s New Eevee Grove Set Adds an OP ‘2-in-1’ Card
The upcoming Eevee Grove set for Pokemon TCG Pocket is about to add a card that combines a powerful Supporter with a regular Pokemon.
Solgaleo Ex decks are OP in Pokemon TCG Pocket thanks to how fast and consistent they are, getting Solgaleo Ex online and ready to attack very quickly, around turn two or three. These decks typically run:
- 2x Cosmog (Celestial Guardians)
- 1x Cosmoem (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Solgaleo Ex (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Morelull (Celestial Guardians – it has 60 HP instead of 50)
- 2x Shiinotic (Extradimensional Crisis)
- 2x Poke Ball (Launch promo)
- 2x Professor’s Research (Launch promo)
- 1x Cyrus (Space-Time Smackdown)
- 1x or 2x Leftovers (Eevee Grove)
- 1x or 2x Poison Barb (Extradimensional Crisis)
- 2x Rare Candy (Celestial Guardians)
- 1x Lillie (Celestial Guardians)
- 1x Pokemon Communication (Space-Time Smackdown)
Much like the Incineroar Ex deck, Solgaleo Ex and Shiinotic decks run cards from Celestial Guardians, so it’s fairly easy to get all the ones one might need together. The only new addition to the deck is Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s new Leftovers Tool, which is particularly strong with Solgaleo Ex because of its passive healing, meaning that Solgaleo Ex’s Sol Breaker inflicts 10 recoil damage to it while Leftovers heals it immediately after.
Pokemon Communication is not necessarily needed in this deck either, as Solgaleo Ex and Shiinotic decks rely on card draws and the latter’s Illuminate ability to get all the key pieces of the combo as fast as possible. Alternatively, Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s Red Card and Mars can be great substitutes because the current meta is dominated by Sylveon Ex, so making opponents discard cards can be great.
Red Card is very easy to get because it’s a launch promo like Poke Ball and Professor’s Research, so players can get it for free in the shop.
Why Incineroar Ex and Solgaleo Ex Decks’ Cards Are Easy to Get in Pokemon TCG Pocket
Normally, decks that require multiple Ex cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket can be harder to build because they are not readily available or guaranteed, so one has to rely on Wonder Pick or opening boosters. However, the rarest cards in these two decks are Incineroar Ex and Solgaleo Ex, respectively, and they come from the same set.
45% of the Incineroar Ex deck is from Celestial Guardians and 20% from promos, meaning it’s effectively one of the easiest to build in the game. Likewise, Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s Solgaleo Ex and Shiinotic deck has 50% of its cards from Celestial Guardians. Both decks only use one or two copies of a single new card from Eevee Grove, and in both cases, each costs 70 Pack Points total, so even veterans can build these decks with ease now.
