Savior of Terminal Fort Knot Trophy

Death Stranding 2 is no stranger to secrets, and as players connect more preppers to the Chiral Network in Australia, they are bound to stumble across one or two of them that have a unique task for Sam, and that’s exactly what players can get with the Ghost Hunter. There’s a secret and entirely optional boss fight waiting for players who are brave enough, but this giant doesn’t just appear without setup.

If players want to stop Terminal Fort Knot from suffering a voidout and earn themselves a Silver Trophy for their efforts, then the guide below will be a necessity for players who are looking to Platinum the entirety of Death Stranding 2 to make Sam and the DHV Magellan crew proud.

How to Get the Savior of Terminal Fort Knot Trophy Requirements

Advance the Ghost Hunter and Complete the Main Story

In order to get the required mission for the Savior of Terminal Fort Knot trophy, players must first have connected the Ghost Hunter to the Chiral Network and connected Terminal Fort Knot to the Chiral Network. Unfortunately, Terminal Fort Knot is the final facility in Death Stranding 2, which means players will need to complete the entire main story of the game if they are to obtain this trophy, and it cannot be done sooner.

In order to actually get the order to save Terminal Fort Knot, players must progress with their connection to the Ghost Hunter. The Ghost Hunter can be found just south of the Data Scientist, and before the snowy mountain that leads to the Chronobiologist. To connect the Ghost Hunter to the Chiral Network, find a piece of lost cargo or pick up Sub Order 109 from the Chronobiologist’s terminal and deliver it to the Ghost Hunter. After which, players will need to complete Sub Order 110 from the Ghost Hunter’s terminal.

After the Ghost Hunter has been connected to the Chiral Network, players will need to deliver him cargo, but lost cargo is very rare for the Ghost Hunter. Players will need to rely on standard orders, found at the Ghost Hunter himself, and other preppers like the Chronobiologist, Pioneer, and East Fort Knot’s Leon Easton. After advancing around 80% to each connection level, players will have to wait for a post on the SSS from the Ghost Hunter, where he alerts Sam to a new Sub Order that is available at his terminal. Players will need to complete the Ghost Hunter’s Sub Orders to progress his quest and obtain the mission to save Terminal Fort Knot:

  • Sub Orders 111: Rescue the Child Crying in the Bushfire Zone
  • Sub Order 112: Deliver the Lyrebird Sam Rescued to the Animal Shelter
  • Sub Order 113: Uncover the Mystery of the Moving House and Recover the Rysty Chiral Crystals

Once players have completed these Sub Orders and gotten the Ghost Hunter’s connection level to around 4.5 (or 80% to 5 stars), players will receive a new message in the SSS from the Ghost Hunter with his final Sub Order: Save F8 from a Voidout.

How to Defeat the Giga BT

With Sub Order 114: Save F8 from a Voidout now collected from the Ghost Hunter, players will want to travel all the way to Terminal Fort Knot. Players can use the DHV Magellan to fast travel here without penalty, and once here, it’s advised to stock up on weapons and gear for a secret boss fight. To best be prepared for the Giga BT boss fight, players should bring at least 3 Blood Bags, a Boost Skeleton, and a few Machine Guns and Quadruple Rocket Launchers.

Once players are ready to proceed, head across the shore of Terminal Fort Knot, where amidst the rubble floating in the tar, players will spawn the secret Giga BT boss fight. This BT is rather slow due to its size, so players will want to keep a safe distance and shoot at it with their firepower. The BT’s umbilical cord will swell red, and if players shoot it, it will burst to stun the BT so it can be easily killed. Fire rockets and bullets at it until it falls, and watch out for any sweeping attacks. Once the Giga BT is on critical health, throw an EX Capture Grenade at its head to capture it, but that’s optional. Once defeated, players will immediately see the Savior of Terminal Fort Knot trophy pop, but don’t forget to return to the Ghost Hunter to receive the 5-star connection level.
