Supergiant Games has released patch 10 for its early access roguelike Hades 2, making a number of gameplay adjustments and bug fixes in what is expected to be the game’s final patch before its official launch. The patch makes changes to multiple additions made in the recent Unseen Update for Hades 2, including Nocturnal Arms, aspects, boons, and Oaths of the Unseen while fixing numerous bugs, most of which were addressed as a result of community feedback.
Hades 2 celebrated its early access anniversary on May 6, with Supergiant Games teasing the game’s official release as being “closer to the finish line.” The Greek mythology-inspired dungeon crawler has received consistent support from the developer over the past year, adding whole new regions, characters, weapons, and storylines to the game in iterative updates. The Unseen Update — Hades 2‘s third major update — released on June 17, expanding combat options with new Hidden Aspects for the Nocturnal Arms, stronger Guardians to challenge, and Godsent Hexes enhanced with Olympian boons. Patch 10 tweaks the new content added in the Unseen Update while addressing specific bugs and glitches reported by players.

Hades 2 is home to a plethora of impactful Boons, but there’s one Greek God who deserves a proper spot on the roster in the lead-up to Hades 2 1.0.
Patch 10, which is reportedly the last patch before the full release of Hades 2, was released for all players on July 3. The full patch notes can be found on the game’s Steam page, but beware of spoilers for Hades 2 and the Unseen Update. The patch buffs some Hades 2 Nocturnal Arms and their Aspects; for example, the Sister Blades’ Omega Attack now can’t be interrupted by enemies, and Melinoe won’t have such a hard time dashing out of the recovery time for the weapon’s Aspect of Pan. Other Nocturnal Arms were nerfed, with the Argent Skull losing the ability to stagger foes with its Omega Special wave attacks.
The Unseen Update for Hades 2 is Out Now
The patch also adds four new Daedalus Hammer weapon upgrades to Hades 2 for the Witch’s Staff, the Sister Blades, the Argent Skull, and the Black Coat. Boons offered by the gods Demeter, Hestia, Hermes, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon all received reworks as well, with most having their damage outputs reduced. Numerous bugs have been fixed by the new patch, including a frustrating issue preventing story events from playing and a glitch that caused the player to take damage or dash unexpectedly.
The excitement continues to build among the series’ fans as Hades 2 draws closer and closer to its official debut. Although a full release date has not been announced, Supergiant Games has confirmed that Hades 2 will be a timed console exclusive for Nintendo Switch systems when it launches in 2025. While the full release of Hades 2 will be playable on PC the same day it drops on the Switch and Switch 2, it may be another year before players see the roguelike arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
