The latest Grand Theft Auto Online weekly update celebrates Independence Day with free rewards and new cosmetics for players to earn. The 2025 GTA Online Independence Day update features a bunch of bonus rewards and money multipliers on featured activities, too, so it’s the perfect time to do some grinding.
Independence Day never really gets a ton of love in GTA Online outside of some patriotic clothing items, but this year’s event is a bit more substantial than the rest, boasting featured community playlists and limited-time tweaks to certain missions. Even if you miss out on the Fourth of July fun, the Independence Day content will remain in Grand Theft Auto Online for an entire week afterward, so there’s no need to rush.

All Independence Day 2025 Rewards in GTA Online
The Independence Day 2025 event kicks off in Grand Theft Auto Online on July 3, and all of the Independence Day bonuses and playlists will last for one week before they’re replaced on July 9 by the next weekly GTA Online update.
Just by logging in during the Independence Day 2025 event, you’ll unlock the Lady Liberty Bucket Hat. Even more clothing items — including the Pißwasser, Benedict, Patriot, and Supa Wet Beer Hats and Statue of Happiness T-Shirt — can be claimed from Business Battle crates during the event period as well. If you win two races during the event period, you’ll also get the Fireworks Bucket Hat and a GTA$100,000 bonus.
Several playlists and activities have boosted rewards for Independence Day as well.
