Marvel Rivals has given players their first look at gameplay of the upcoming Duelist Jean Grey, who will make her debut with the launch of Season 3 on July 11. The launch of Marvel Rivals‘ new season will also include a fresh map featuring the planet Klyntar, the home world of the symbiotes and their creator Knull.

In addition to Jean Grey, Marvel Rivals will be adding Blade to the popular hero shooter as a Duelist during Season 3. However, players will need to wait a little longer, as Blade won’t be added until the major mid-season 3.5 update. Gamers can expect to see the iconic vampire hunter arrive roughly one month after the launch of Season 3, as NetEase Games has decided to shorten the length of seasons moving forward. Instead of lasting three months, seasons will take place over the course of two months, meaning fans will see a new hero added to the title’s ever-expanding roster every month.

Marvel Rivals surprises players by announcing that it will be giving some special perks to college students in NetEase Games’ popular hero shooter.

NetEase Games has released a brand-new trailer giving players their first look at gameplay of Marvel Rivals‘ upcoming Duelist, Jean Grey. She can be seen running around the battlefield with the Phoenix Force floating just behind her as she delivers a variety of ranged attacks to deal significant damage to her foes. In the trailer, she can be seen uniting with the Phoenix Force to gain mobility and even deliver her powerful ultimate ability, which sees her slam to the ground to take out nearby foes.

Marvel Rivals Showcases Jean Grey Gameplay

According to Marvel Rivals‘ Dev Vision Volume 7 update, Jean Grey’s ultimate ability also wipes out other objects on the battlefield, such as Rocket’s gadgets and Loki’s clones. It was also announced that Jean Grey will have a team-up with Wolverine called Primal Flame. As the anchor of the team-up, Jean Grey will imbue Wolverine with the power of the Phoenix Force when he uses his Feral Leap ability, which will now burn nearby foes and include a lifesteal mechanic.

With the launch of Season 3, NetEase Games will also be introducing a wide variety of hero balance adjustments in Marvel Rivals, which include buffs, nerfs, and team-up tweaks. It seems as if The Thing will be receiving the most significant changes, as his Stone Haymaker ability will now be able to knockdown flying heroes. He’ll also be receiving a new ability called Battle Blitz that will allow him to leap to a nearby enemy with 25% damage reduction. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
