Marvel Rivals‘ Creative Director shared some good news for college students, announcing that they will soon have the opportunity to access 10 free trial skins and MVP animations in the popular hero shooter. NetEase Games is currently preparing to launch Season 3 of Marvel Rivals on July 11, which will introduce a wide variety of new hero balance adjustments to the title.

In addition to balancing the game’s large roster of existing characters, Marvel Rivals will be adding Jean Grey to the title as a Duelist with the launch of Season 3. From what has been shown, she’ll have the ability to draw upon the power of the Phoenix Force to deliver devastating attacks. During the major mid-season update, NetEase Games will also be adding the popular Marvel hero Blade to the game as a Duelist, though less has been revealed about his official ability kit. The addition of Blade has been teased since the launch of Season 1, where players saw him captured by the sinister villain Dracula.

Starting with Season 3, students will have the ability to register their university email with NetEase Games. After doing so, they will have access to 10 free trial skins and MVP animations in Marvel Rivals. It’s worth noting that Season 3 is also introducing a change that will give gamers the ability to mix and match skins and MVP screens that wouldn’t normally be paired together, allowing for a deeper level of customization.

College Students Will Have Access to Free Skins in Marvel Rivals

Guangyun Chen stated that the feature will be available in the US, UK, and more, with additional regions being added as time goes on. They also acknowledged that every university email may not be recognized immediately. In that case, he encouraged students to reach out to NetEase Games’ support team in order to verify their email and gain these new perks. Dev Vision Vol. 7 didn’t outline exactly which Marvel Rivals skins and MVP animations will be part of the free trial, though it’s likely more details will be shared ahead of the launch of Season 3 on July 11.
