Marvel Rivals Reveals Gameplay of New ‘Captain Klyntar’ Skin for Captain America

Marvel Rivals gives players their first look at gameplay of Captain America’s new Captain Klyntar skin in NetEase Games’ popular hero shooter.

NetEase Games recently released Dev Vision Vol. 7, which outlined a wide variety of updates coming to the game with the release of Season 3 on July 11. While the video went over the addition of heroes like Jean Grey and Blade to Marvel Rivals‘ ever-expanding roster, it also contained new information about skins and MVP animations. Currently, MVP animations are exclusive to whichever cosmetic bundle they are sold with. So, in order to make use of the MVP animation that comes with Spider-Man’s Future Foundation costume, players have to wear that specific skin during the match. However, that’s all set to change during Season 3.

Marvel Rivals Player Will Be Able to Mix Skins and MVP Animations

In Dev Vision Vol. 7, Creative Director Guangyun Chen stated that players will soon be able to mix and match their skins and MVP animations, which should give players even more customization options than usual. Many players were pleasantly surprised by the announcement, as this is a feature fans have been asking for since the hero shooter’s release in December 2024. Some people were quick to point out that this has the potential to make some skins that don’t have their own MVP animations more appealing, as gamers who wish to use them won’t be stuck using the default animation. This has been a consistent sore spot for many players, as some skins, like the Future Foundation skin for Human Torch in Marvel Rivals, lack a unique MVP animation.

It has also been revealed that Season 3 will include numerous fresh skins in Marvel Rivals, including symbiote-themed costumes for Jeff the Land Shark, Rocket Raccoon, and Squirrel Girl. Fans looking to get their hands on some new symbiote cosmetics won’t have to wait until July 11, as Captain America will also be receiving a new skin called Captain Klyntar on July 3 at 7 PM PDT. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
