Undisputed Releases New Update for July 2025

Undisputed developer Steel City Interactive has released a new hotfix update for the title that aims to address a handful of issues that arose following the launch of the 1.4 content update last month. Undisputed players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can now download and install the new 1.4.2 hotfix, which includes numerous fixes for matchmaking, error codes, and an adjustment to one of the game’s newest fighters.

After releasing four patches in five weeks earlier this year, Steel City Interactive set to work on a new DLC pack and content update for Undisputed. While fans were left irritated by the long wait time, the studio finally released the highly anticipated 1.4 update for Undisputed last month, which made plenty of gameplay improvements, a plethora of bug fixes, and even added three new fighters for fans to play as. Previously, any new boxers were only available via DLC packs, but update 1.4 added Jack Johnson, a Heavyweight boxer who comes with his own custom moves, Jack Dempsey, who is also a Heavyweight fighter with his own custom moves, and Damian Chambers, a Cruiserweight boxer.

Undisputed Teases Return of Controversial Boxer

Undisputed developer Steel City Interactive seemingly teases the return of a controversial boxer who was previously removed from the game.

Although the update addressed some pretty big issues with Undisputed, it also seems to have brought about a handful of other issues. Thankfully, Steel City has acted quickly and deployed a brand-new update for the boxing title on July 1, which includes a small number of bug fixes. According to the patch notes, which can be found further down this article, the update has fixed Jack Dempsey’s southpaw hooks not registering hits. This was one of the most frustrating issues introduced in update 1.4, as many players were eager to jump into the ring with one of the three new fighters, only to find a major problem with Jack Dempsey.

Update 1.4 also saw the introduction of multi-queue matchmaking, a highly requested feature by Undisputed fans. The aim of the feature is to reduce the long wait times in between fights by allowing players to select fighters across multiple weight divisions. Previously, fans could only select a boxer in a single weight division, which led to wait times as long as 15 minutes for some players.

Today’s update appears to have fixed another matchmaking issue that arose with the release of the feature, as the patch notes state that Steel City has now fixed an issue with new online multi-queue users sometimes experiencing extended matchmaking upon first queue. With the feature now seemingly working as intended, players should be able to get into the ring much quicker.

Last month’s big content update also launched alongside the new Mexican Monster DLC pack for Undisputed. The latest fighter pack includes seven new boxers, including icons such as former Heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr, who achieved one of the biggest upsets in boxing history when he defeated Anthony Joshua in 2019. The DLC also brings new fighter attire to existing boxers, including Eddie Hall, Ricky Hatton, Natasha Jonas, Sugar Ray Robinson, and Oleksandr Usyk.
