SteamWorld Dig and five other titles are leaving Xbox Game Pass later today. While these departures will nearly double the number of games that left the subscription service over the course of June 2025, this month was still an overall net positive for Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft’s subscription catalog lost 14 games in April, followed by another 10 in May 2025. Most recently, Xbox Game Pass removed seven titles on June 15, including Dordogne, Isonzo, My Time At Sandrock, and Depersonalization.

The Xbox Game Pass subscription service is on an incredible run, but one has to wonder if this is the peak of the service.
Another half a dozen games are set to follow later today. The June 30 Xbox Game Pass departures include Journey to the Savage Planet, Arcade Paradise, and My Friend Peppa Pig, as well as the two SteamWorld Dig games. Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders is also on the list of late June 2025 removals. Microsoft typically doesn’t communicate exact departure times in advance and hasn’t done so in this instance, either. However, the company’s track record indicates that these six titles will most likely be pulled from its service around midnight, July 1.

My Friend Peppa Pig enjoyed the longest Xbox Game Pass stint out of all of these soon-to-be-departing titles, spending nearly three consecutive years as part of Microsoft’s on-demand content catalog. It’s also the most easily digestible title from this batch, at least in terms of typical completion times, with an average 100% playthrough being under 2 hours long, according to crowdsourced data from HowLongToBeat. Achievement hunters looking to boost their Gamerscore totals at the last moment should still have enough time to make significant progress in SteamWorld Dig and Journey to the Savage Planet. While these two are among the shorter titles from this wave of departures, neither is easy to complete—let alone fully 100%—in a single day.
As is tradition, some of these forthcoming departures can currently be grabbed at a 20% discount from the Xbox Store, namely Arcade Paradise and My Friend Peppa Pig. SteamWorld Dig is also technically 20% off on the storefront right now, but only in a bundle with SteamWorld Build, priced at $27.99. PC gamers had a chance to grab SteamWorld Dig free of charge via Steam earlier this month, but that offer ended on June 26.
After these departures, Microsoft’s subscription library will have lost 13 games over the past four weeks. However, 16 titles joined Xbox Game Pass in June 2025, with another, Call of Duty: WW2, set to arrive later today. As such, the month still represents a net gain for the service. In fact, it’s the second-largest net positive for Xbox Game Pass in 2025, following May, when Microsoft added 17 titles while removing only 10.
