Fans eager to play Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2 may not need to wait much longer, as the game has officially been rated by the ESRB. The updated version of one of 2022’s most popular releases was teased in early April, with Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition featuring both the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, along with some entirely new content.
Following the game’s official launch, FromSoftware supported Elden Ring with several post-launch content updates, introducing quality-of-life features, bug fixes, and additional content. The only DLC released for the title was the acclaimed Shadow of the Erdtree expansion in 2024, which found such incredible popularity with players that it was nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024 alongside Metaphor: ReFantazio, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and the winner, Astro Bot. Support for the title still isn’t released, with Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2025. Now, eager players are inching closer to a concrete release date.
