Newly Released Mod Brings Halo’s Multiplayer To Half-Life

A newly-released Half-Life mod is bringing the chaotic, fast-paced multiplayer combat of Halo to the Half-Life engine, showing off several matches with re-created Halo maps. Half-Life has been one of the staples of Valve’s lineup since the beginning, with the franchise once serving as the flagship series for the eventual Steam developer. The Half-Life games have often been regarded as some of the greatest PC games of all-time, with the rumored Half-Life 3 being the subject of countless rumors and memes. Now, a new mod is mashing Half-Life up with another iconic franchise.

While Half-Life served as Valve’s most recognizable series, Halo was a franchise that helped to put Microsoft on the map within the gaming industry. Halo: Combat Evolved was the highlight of the original Xbox’s launch lineup, with the game going on to become the second highest-selling game of its console generation. Halo would spawn a successful series with six main-series games and a plethora of spinoffs, even receiving a live-action Halo series from Paramount in 2022. A passionate team of modders has now brought Halo‘s beloved multiplayer gameplay to Half-Life.
