During a fan interaction at a convention, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag voice actor Matt Ryan dropped a potential tease that the game could be receiving a remake. Ryan, who portrays Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag main protagonist Edward Kenway, stated that fans who beat the game once may have to do so again, but could not elaborate further.
Born in Wales in 1693, Captain Edward Kenway was the grandfather of Assassin’s Creed 3‘s protagonist, Connor Kenway, and, in turn, an ancestor of Desmond Miles. Edward Kenway started his career as a Royal Navy privateer before turning to piracy and finding himself embroiled in the power struggle between the Assassins and the Templars during the events of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. With plenty of memorable quotes credited to Edward Kenway’s name, the pirate captain eventually joined the British Brotherhood of Assassins and rose to the rank of Master Assassin before his death at the hands of the Templars in 1735.
