All Marvel Rivals Season 3 Rumors and Leaks Explained

The main appeal of a live-service game is that there’s always something new waiting just around the corner, and Marvel Rivals has done a great job of making that new thing consistently exciting. Marvel Rivals is now giving players two new playable heroes each and every season, along with some new maps, new modes, and a wealth of shiny new cosmetics. The last few seasons have done a great job of keeping players invested, and if recent rumors are to be believed, then Marvel Rivals Season 3 is going to follow suit.

Set to begin on July 11, 2025, Marvel Rivals Season 3 still hasn’t been officially detailed by developer NetEase. The new season’s heroes, maps, and overall theme are unconfirmed. But there’s been an onslaught of leaks and rumors over the last few weeks, and they point to Marvel Rivals Season 3 being another big one.

Of course, all leaks and rumors should always be taken with a pinch of salt, no matter how credible they may seem.

Marvel Rivals puts a lot of fun spins on beloved Marvel heroes and villains, but the Winter Soldier’s in-game lore transcends simple backstory.

Marvel Rivals Season 3’s Leaked and Rumored Heroes

Blade – Duelist

All the way back in December 2024, mere days after Marvel Rivals first hit consoles and PC, a list of leaked characters hit the internet. One of the first names on that list was Blade, Marvel’s half-human, half-vampire. Over the last few months, NetEase has been gradually teasing Blade’s place on the hero shooter’s roster, having him appear as an NPC on various maps since Season 1.

Based on NetEase’s continued teases, and a bevy of leaks and rumors from sources like RivalsInfo and RivalsLeaks, it seems extremely likely that Blade will be one of Marvel Rivals Season 3’s new heroes. Some recent leaks have even shed light on his possible ability set:

  • Primary Fire: Players can switch between using Dracula’s sword and a long-range hunting shotgun that fires explosive rounds
  • Damage Block (RMB Ability): Block oncoming damage by using Dracula’s sword
  • Step and Chop (Shift Ability): Dash forward and wound an enemy. If wielding Dracula’s sword, the attack reduces enemy movement speed. If wielding Blade’s shotgun, the attack reduces the enemy’s healing
  • Blood Liberation (E Ability): Gain heightened senses and the ability to self-heal by inflicting damage, though, in this state Blade cannot be healed by normal means
  • Ultimate (Name not yet known): Dash forward with Dracula’s sword, slashing all those in Blade’s path and leaving behind the sword to attack nearby enemies on its own for a duration

It’s possible these abilities aren’t entirely accurate to the ones that eventually appear in Marvel Rivals, but they have been shared around by multiple high-profile leakers.

Jean Grey/Phoenix – Duelist

Another Marvel hero who appeared near the top of that very first leaked character list, the X-Men’s Jean Grey is another frontrunner for Marvel Rivals Season 3. After a recent Phoenix Force-themed Moon Knight skin hit Marvel Rivals a few weeks ago, tongues started to wag. This speculation was accompanied by a set of leaks that claimed to reveal Jean Grey’s kit, which is split between two distinct forms:

  • Human Form: Jean Grey will be able to use her psychic powers to attack foes and potentially mute an opponent’s abilities for a few seconds
  • Phoenix Form: When in Phoenix Form, Jean Grey will be able to use fire-based attacks and abilities. It’s been rumored she’ll only be able to activate Phoenix Form by dying, perhaps with a fully charged Ultimate

Other Possible Season 3 Heroes

While Blade and Jean Grey/Phoenix are the most likely heroes to appear in Marvel Rivals Season 3 according to recent leaks and rumors, there are another three heroes who could also be on the cards, those being Captain Marvel, Cyclops, and Professor X. Captain Marvel allegedly had a few voice lines leaked a little while ago, and both Professor X and Cyclops had the names of their potential abilities leaked.

Every Other Marvel Rivals Season 3 Leak and Rumor

Marvel Rivals Knull on Throne

While most of the Marvel Rivals Season 3 leaks have revolved around potential new heroes, there have been a few other rumors that have pointed towards the next season’s theme. Marvel Rivals Season 3 could see players go head-to-head against Knull, the creator and god of the Symbiotes. It’s believed that Knull’s presence could usher in a new wave of Symbiote skins for Marvel Rivals‘ roster.

A summer-themed event has also been rumored to appear in the coming weeks, possibly alongside some long-rumored swimsuit skins.
