The new Eevee card from Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s “Eevee Grove” expansion is hiding a clever detail within its artwork, making reference to all of Eevee’s evolutions. The massively popular mobile game based on the beloved trading card game has given fans plenty of reasons to be excited since it debuted in late October last year. Pokemon TCG Pocket has welcomed multiple expansions adding tons of new cards and Pokemon to the game, most recently debuting the “Eevee Grove” set centered around Eevee and its evolutions. Now, one of the new cards features a clever detail within its artwork.
Eevee Grove officially made its Pokemon TCG Pocket debut earlier this week and brought a plethora of new cards to the mobile game. As suggested by the name of the set, Eevee Grove features a litany of new Eevee cards, with Eevee and its evolutions receiving not only new base cards but new “ex” versions as well. The set also features some new Shiny Pokemon cards in TCG Pocket, including variants of the Kanto region’s three Legendary Birds. However, the full-art Eevee card has been particularly popular for its stunning artwork.

Fans opening Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s newest expansion have now discovered a clever quirk with one particular card in the new set. When pulling the gold-star rarity full-art Eevee card, fans of TCG Pocket spotted a clever reference to each of its evolutions, symbolized by different-colored flowers surrounding the Pokemon. The Eevee in the artwork features both black and purple flowers behind it to symbolize Umbreon and Espeon, with Glaceon, Sylveon, and Leafeon-themed flowers in the middle and the original Kanto trio in the front.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Eevee Card Hides Incredible Details
Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s newest Eevee card is far from the only stunning artwork featured in Eevee Grove. Eevee ex received a brand-new “immersive art” card within the Eevee Grove expansion, featuring an Eevee sitting in a field of flowers surrounded by each evolution with its associated elements. Multiple other Pokemon like Primarina and Dragonite also received stunning new full-art cards within the Eevee Grove expansion. Even the game’s newest Trainer cards received their own full-art variants, with Pokemon Sun and Moon‘s Hau and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet‘s Penny making their TCG Pocket debuts.
Eevee continues to be one of the Pokemon franchise’s most popular creatures across its many branches. The physical Pokemon TCG saw its own Eevee frenzy earlier this year, with the “Prismatic Evolutions” set featuring new Special Illustration Rare cards of the Eeveelutions. The Pokemon Company also revealed new life-sized plushes of each Eeveelution in April, with the full group of Pokemon plushes set to release in November. Pokemon TCG Pocket has given Eevee fans even more reason to be excited about the franchise’s “Year of Eevee.”
