Date Everything features over 100 characters for players to meet and form relationships with using magic glasses called Dateviators. The Dateviators give players the power to scan their furniture and reveal the human personalities behind it. It doesn’t stop at furniture; players can also scan less tangible items such as phone apps and elements.
Textbox-Chan may be a mystery to players as she isn’t physically in the house. Romancing her is a later game achievement, as it takes a while to finish her storyline. How to Find Textbox-Chan in Date Everything
Textbox-Chan is Dateable 94 in Date Everything
Players can find Textbox-Chan,voiced by Suzie Yueng, early on in their playthrough, but her storyline requires unlocking most of the Dateables. Textbox-Chan is the personification of the textbox UI in the game. However, she doesn’t appear in every textbox. Players must open their phone, open the Main Menu, and scan the middle of the menu. She’s got a very bright personality, so getting to know her is easy if players are nice to her. Choose the following options:
- I don’t want to date the sun… if I can date you…
- Read?
- Makes sense to me.
- You got it, Textbox-Chan!
- You’ve been super helpful!
How to Date Textbox-Chan in Date Everything
At the end of the conversation, Textbox-Chan instructs players to return after they have found 16 Dateables. They can see their total amount in the Date-A-Dex.
Players can get away with only finding 14 Dateables, and Textbox-Chan will still talk to them.
Players with a high enough Smarts can call her out for her inconsistency, but it doesn’t necessarily cause a good or bad response. Say the following for the best results:

Players will need to find 41 Dateables in total before they can progress with Textbox-Chan any further. She’s a lot stricter with the number this time around, so take the time to find other Dateables around the house. The attic is a good place to find Dateables once it is unlocked. Once you’ve hit the required number, talk to Textbox-Chan and choose the following:
- Hey, Textbox-Chan! Are you okay?
- Oh no – I’m so sorry!
- That’s really cool!
- Can you show me all your emotions?
- That was really fun!
- So cool!
- Yes. They’re so hot.
- Thanks. I’ll do my best.
Textbox-Chan will set a new Dateable goal at that point: come back after awakening 60 Dateables. She seems to be in a sad mood, rather than having her typically bubbly energy.
