Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. This week brought a number of new revelations for the upcoming Edge of Fate expansion and with only a few weeks left until launch, fans should likely expect plenty more. Bungie recently reveal upcoming exotic armor changes coming to Destiny 2 Edge of Fate, though this week also showed off some brand new features as well.
After teasing new destination powers in the Edge of Fate reveal, Bungie finally detailed the new abilities in full. Known as Dark Matter abilities in Destiny 2, players exploring Kepler will be able to use all 3 in both combat and exploration. Mattrerspark turns players into a destructive arc ball, great for exploring small spaces or taking out groups of enemies. Mattermorph can suspend enemies as well as set up new paths, while Relocator offering ways to quickly zip through a zone.

Destiny 2 Weekly Reset: New Nightfall, Challenges, and Rewards
The weekly reset for Destiny 2 is live and here are all of the new details including Nightfall strike, seasonal missions, challenges, and much more.
With the weekend now here, the exotic merchant Xur has returned with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of June 27, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there’s no more hunting needed when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are hanging out and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley hiding Xur is to the right.
Destiny 2 Exotic Class Armor
Xur’s role has continued to expand and evolve over the years. Alongside The Final Shape expansion, Xur’s inventory in Destiny 2 expanded even more, moving back to Strange Coins as the currency of choice and featuring rank rewards, resources, and, of course, armor and weapons.
Starfire Protocol – Warlock chest armor
Exotic Perks:
-
Fusion Harness
– Fusion Grenades have an additional charge and recharge from empowered weapon damage, with empowered weapon final blows granting more energy. Defeating targets with Fusion Grenades grant Rift energy.
While Starfire isn’t considered a top-tier Warlock exotic, this one may be worth picking up in anticipation of the Edge of Fate. It was included in a list of exotics that will have same benefits as New Gear at launch, so for those who don’t have it, this may be worthy of stashing to see what changes.
Stat Values (65 Total):
- Mobility +2
- Resilience +3
- Recovery +30
- Discipline +14
- Intellect +8
- Strength +8
Orpheus Rig – Hunter leg armor
Exotic Perk:
-
Uncanny Arrows
– Provides ability energy for each target tethered by Deadfall anchors. Moebius Quiver has an additional shot.
An excellent exotic for Voidwalker Hunters, so definitely worth a pickup for those who don’t have one. For everyone else, the roll is okay, so it’s not a must-have.
Stat Values (65 Total):
- Mobility +4
- Resilience +10
- Recovery +20
- Discipline +2
- Intellect +13
- Strength +16
Armamentarium – Titan chest armor
Exotic Perk:
-
And Another Thing
– Gain an additional grenade charge. Grenade final blows spawn an Orb of Power.
Normally, this would be an easy pass, but since stats are changing when Edge of Fate launches, players will need to look at these a little bit differently. With such a high roll this week, it may be picking this up and stashing it to see how effective it might be when the expansion arrives.
Stat Values (69 total):
- Mobility +16
- Resilience +9
- Recovery +11
- Discipline +29
- Intellect +2
- Strength +2
