Where To Find Stillsuit Tubing

Dune: Awakening combines survival, combat, and resource management, and braving the harsh conditions on Arrakis requires special gear. The lore of Dune includes the extensive use of stillsuits on the planet, which preserve water and protect the wearer from the elements. There are several variations on their origin and design.

Not every Stillsuit that the player can research and make requires Stillsuit Tubing, but it’s an essential component in advanced suits. The Stillsuit section of the Garment Fabricator can make both varieties, and the schematics that cost the most Intel Points often require up to 10 units of tubing for each crafted piece. Here’s how players can find it.

Dune: Awakening – Best Stillsuits & How To Get Them

There is a great selection of Stillsuits for players to make use of in Dune: Awakening, but these are easily the best ones available.

The Stillsuit Tubing material is not the same as the Watertube or Improved Watertube. These components are found in the Deep Desert and are used in endgame schematics.

Stillsuit Tubing

An Essential Clothing Component

The low- and mid-level stillsuits that players can make in the General Fabricator don’t require Stillsuit Tubing. These include the copper, iron, and steel varieties, but once the character starts to branch out into areas north of the Vermillius Gap and the rocky terrain of the northern Hagga Bain, they’ll have access to aluminum and better stillsuits. Stillsuit tubing is required with every suit that uses aluminum, duraluminum, or plastanium as a base component.

Other components used in low-level stillsuits, such as water, Micro-sandwich Fabric, and silicone blocks, remain consistent for more advanced recipes. Even when a character progresses, they should keep stockpiling these materials when possible.

Where To Find Stillsuit Tubing

A Clue Is Given In The Item Description

The tubing cannot be crafted, and no schematic exists. According to the clues in the game, the Fremen make the best stillsuit tubing, but “they do not share,” and the player spends most of the game assuming they might all be dead. Luckily, a group called the Maas Kharet makes a decent imitation.

Dropped By And Looted From Enemies

Find the Maas Kharet, or their camps and minions, in various camps and hideouts in the O’odham area. Stillsuit tubing not only drops from their bodies, but can also be looted from their stash boxes and chests. Fly to Pinnacle Station and head west, or use a ‘thopter, but players who go overland need to mind the quicksand along the southern part of the area.

Recycling

For those who have a Recycler and perhaps have picked up a component of a high-end stillsuit in the wilderness, it might be possible to reclaim some of the tubing used to make it. However, a character in an area with these kinds of components dropping as loot is also in a region where targets and their loot will include stillsuit tubing anyway.

Purchased On The Exchange

Stillsuit tubing is a valuable item that’s fairly difficult to find in the open world, so players who have a few extra Solaris to spend can find it at the auction house, known in Dune: Awakening as The Exchange. It’s not accessible from Tradeposts, but players can access this service in bigger cities like Arrakeen and Harko Village.
