The Shockwave Hammer has returned to Fortnite! This controversial melee/mobility item from Chapter 4 might have been put six feet under for a reason, but the 14 Days of Summer for 2025 have demanded its return. The Shockwave Hammer is a great tool, useful for smashing enemies and getting away from danger, but how does one get it?

How to Get the Shockwave Hammer in Fortnite
The Shockwave Hammer isn’t as reliable to spawn as one might want, especially since it’s only around for 24 hours. Players will have to rely purely on RNG to get the Shockwave Hammer in Fortnite, but there are more reliable spots than others. POIs with plenty of chests will be a big help here, and some points of interest worth looking into are:
- Utopia City, for its abundance of chests and floor loot.
- Supernova Academy, for its secret loot room.
- Demon’s Dojo, for its plentiful floor loot (which is where we found the Shockwave hammer)
- West of Crime City by the abandoned train, for its Rare Chest spawns.
With an abundance of chests and floor loot, players should manage to get the Shockwave Hammer in no time, so don’t feel the pressure just because this is a timed quest. Simply loot, take a car, and loot at the next spot until you manage to find one.
How to Use the Shockwave Hammer in Fortnite
Knockback 2 Opponents with the Shockwaver Hammer
Now that players have found a Shockwave Hammer, they are going to need to use it to knock back opponents twice. This is easily achieved by using R2/RT/Left-Click while holding the Shockwave Hammer. This is a melee weapon, so players need to hit the attack button within relatively close range to their opponent. Upon a hit, the enemy will be sent flying back with a shockwave effect, and they will also be impacted with 75 damage. The best way to get this quest done for 14 Days of Summer is to head to Demon’s Dojo, or to any active Spire, as this quest will also complete when used against Demon Guards and hostile NPCs, which is far safer than real players who might be using long-range weapons.
Players can also use the Shockwave Hammer for mobility to get closer to their opponents, or further away, as L2/LT/Right-Click allows players to bounce the hammer and jump around, with a total of 3 charges, with 1 regenerating every 20 seconds.
