New Nightfall, Challenges, and Rewards

Updated June 27, 2025: Another week has come for Destiny 2, which means missions, challenges, and rewards have been reset. Another week in Destiny 2 has arrived and with it, potential answers to some lingering questions thanks to the first of a trio of Edge of Fate livestreams. Already, Bungie has revealed major changes coming to the game, including melee abilities getting overhauled in Destiny 2.

In addition, Bungie also gave fans a preview of all Destiny 2 exotic armor changes coming inside the Edge of Fate. Many underused or niche options seem to be in line to receive buffs or other changes like Dragon’s Shadow, Blight Ranger, Boots of the Assembler, and more. It’s clear that players will certainly have some new options available to them once the expansion launches in July.

For now, the Destiny 2 weekly reset is back, bringing with it the usual refreshed content, activities, and rewards for players to chase over the next week. For a complete look at all the new content available for the week of June 24, including Nightfalls, Crucible modes, and challenges, here is everything players need to know.

Weekly Nightfall and Modifiers

Nightfall Strike: Psyops Battleground: Cosmodrome – Double Rank and Drops!

Advanced Modifiers:

• Champions: Unstoppable and Barrier
• Hero Modifiers: Extra Shields. Arc, Solar, and Void.
• Galvanized: Combatants have more health and are more difficult to stun.
• Overcharge: Shotgun and Kinetic weapons when the player’s subclass matches an active Surge element.
• Threat: Void
• Surge: Void
• Martyr: Exploder units have more health.

Expert Modifiers:

• All previous modifiers.
• Equipment Locked: Unable to change equipment once the mission starts.
• Randomized Banes: Combatants are granted random Banes.
• Expert Modifiers: Extra Shields

Master Modifiers:

• All previous modifiers.
• Master Modifiers: Locked Loadout, Extra Champions, and Extra Shields.
• Chaff: Radar is disabled.

Grandmaster Modifiers:

• All previous modifiers.
• Grandmaster Modifiers: Extinguish, Limited Revives, Contest, Join In Progress Disabled, Extra Champions, Locked Loadout, Extra Shields.
• Fire Pit: When defeated, Acolytes spawn fire pools that cause damage over time.

Exotic Mission Rotation

Bungie brought back various exotic missions for players to run through to earn new rewards, gear, as well as craftable versions of exotic weapons. Like the Raid and Dungeon rotator, this one changes on a weekly basis.

Featured Exotic Mission: Vox Obscura (Dead Messenger Exotic Grenade Launcher)

Raid and Dungeon Rotation

Originally introduced during Season 17, Bungie features Raids and Dungeons in a weekly rotation to make them farmable with updated rewards. Bungie is making 2 of each available in the featured rotation each week:

• Featured Dungeon: Prophecy and Warlord’s Ruin

Ritual Activities: Crucible and Gambit

Players can earn additional rewards through Destiny 2‘s Pathfinder system simply by playing and performing certain tasks in ritual activities like Vanguard Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit.

Trials of Osiris Map and Weekly Adept Weapon

Saint-14 and the Trails of Osiris offer players a high-end PvP activity in exchange for powerful rewards. Starting with Episode Heresy, Bungie made getting to the Lighthouse easier, while still offering top-tier rewards for those who can achieve a winning streak. Similar to most vendors in Destiny 2, Saint-14 has a reputation system that rewards players for ranking up through playing and completing bounties.
