Marvel Rivals has revealed the team-up changes that players will see when Season 3 goes live. Players are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the third Marvel Rivals season, which promises to bring some anticipated features.
The main one is the addition of Blade and Jean Grey/Phoenix as new playable characters. Devs revealed that Jean will be the newest Marvel Rivals Duelist, with ranged abilities to pressure enemies, high mobility to disrupt formations from the flank, and a powerful ultimate in which she merges with the Phoenix Force. Blade, meanwhile, will join the game’s roster in Season 3.5, and although NedEase didn’t show his abilities, a Marvel Rivals leak gave an idea of what to expect from them. This time, new information about Marvel Rivals Season 3 is shared, confirming further adjustments to the characters.

Marvel Rivals has released a new Dev Vision detailing the changes for Season 3, including adjustments to Team-Ups. Confirming a Marvel Rivals rumor, Phoenix and Wolverine will get the Primordial Flame Team-Up, which infuses Logan with the Phoenix Force. When he uses Feral Leap, the Phoenix Force is activated, burning nearby enemies over time, and Wolverine will gain life steal on all his attacks. The second new Team-Up will be Everburning Bound, with the Human Torch creating a new gadget for Spider-Man. This device unlocks a flaming web that deals damage over time and applies a burn tracer.
Marvel Rivals Reveals Which Team-Ups Will Be Added and Removed in Season 3
-
Added Team-Ups
- Primordial Flame (Phoenix/Wolverine)
- Everburning Bound (Human Torch/Spider-Man)
-
Adjusted Team-Ups
- Symbiote Shenanigans (Now includes Jeff, Venom, and Hela)
- Stark Protocol (Now includes Iron Man, Ultron, and Squirrel Girl)
-
Removed Team-Ups
- Storming Ignition (Human Torch/Storm)
- ESU Alumnus (Squirrel Girl/Spider-Man)
The video reveals that the Symbiote Shenanigans Team-Up, which allows Jeff to use Venom’s symbiote, will include Hela. With this, when Symbiote Shenanigans is activated, the goddess of death will release symbiote tendrils to bind enemies together, reducing their movement and pulling them towards the point of impact. Squirrel Girl will join the Stark Protocol Team-Up, which currently includes Iron Man and Ultron. That will give her a nanotech gauntlet that allows the character to command squirrels to fly into a glove, causing them to explode on impact. Finally, Marvel Rivals will remove the Storming Ignition (Human Torch/Storm) and ESU Alumnus (Squirrel Girl/Spider-Man) Team-Ups.
Marvel Rivals Season 3 will kick off on July 11, and corroborating speculation that has been circulating for some time, it will feature Knull as the main threat. Because of this, the game will add the new map Klyntar: Celestial Husk, the anticipated venomized skins for heroes such as Jeff and Rocket Raccoon. The game will also make quality-of-life adjustments to turn the experience of playing Marvel Rivals even more engaging for players.
