A lot of the cargo deliveries in Death Stranding 2 require players to make long journeys from one facility to another. While players can usually use bikes, vehicles, or transportation methods like the monorail to make deliveries easier, there are times when none of those options are viable.

Several missions require players to climb mountainous terrain to reach a facility that needs to be connected to the Chiral Network. In these missions, the Climbing Power Gloves are the best tool to use—here’s how to get them in Death Stranding 2.
How To Unlock the Climbing Power Gloves in Death Stranding 2
To unlock these gloves, players must progress through the story until they reach the Adventurer’s facility and complete Main Order 37, which involves rescuing the Adventurer from the snowy mountains. Once the mission is complete and you use your Q-Pid to connect the facility to the Chiral Network, you’ll receive the Climbing Power Gloves as a reward for reaching level 1 with the facility.
Additionally, completing more Standard and Sub-Orders for the Adventurer and raising their connection level to 3 will reward you with the upgraded version of these gloves.
Besides helping with climbing terrain, the gloves can also be used to grab cargo from a distance, even while riding a Pickup Off-Roader. To fabricate Climbing Power Gloves Level 1, you’ll need the following materials:
- 60 Resins
- 30 Metals
- 10 Special Alloys
What Are Other Ways of Climbing Mountainous Terrain in Death Stranding 2?
Climbing the mountains using gloves is the optimal option, mainly because most vehicles can’t make it up. However, there are a few alternative methods you can use to speed up cargo delivery. One option is the Coffin Board, which unlocks after connecting the Mechanic to the Chiral Network following Order 29.
The Board vehicle moves at a very high speed and is a better option for mountain traversal since it doesn’t rely on tires to push through snow and climb slopes. However, its main drawback is that it only operates within areas connected to the Chiral Network. This means it can only be used for Standard or Sub-Orders at mountain facilities after the area has been connected.
After completing Order 41 and connecting South Fort Knot to the Chiral Network, you’ll unlock the Spiked Tyres for Slopes, which make using the Pickup Off-Roader viable in mountainous regions.
