How to Get a Naturalist Badge in PEAK

PEAK Naturalist Badge

As the in-game description of the Badge suggests, you need to beat PEAK without eating any packaged food. We highly recommend postponing this challenge until you’ve reached the peak of the island at least once. That way, you will get to know all the possible biomes and be able to plan your actions.

Most food items in PEAK not only restore hunger but also provide additional bonuses. Some grants you bonus stamina, while others can make you faster. And you will have to ignore such food to get the Naturalist Badge in PEAK.

Instead, players have to look for food growing on the island. In the first locations, it’s pretty easy. But in the last one, there are no plants, so we recommend you pack more food in your backpack.

Once you reach the peak of the island, you will get the Naturalist Badge in PEAK. The reward for this challenge is a Flower Garland hat for your character.

The main difficulty of this challenge is that some items may seem valid to you, but in fact, they will ruin your attempt in PEAK. For example, items like Trail Mix or Airline Food are obviously packaged food. At the same time, Energy Drinks, Sports Drinks, and even Lollipops also count as packaged food, although the first two are drinks that do not affect hunger.

Instead, you need to collect fruits, berries, and mushrooms growing almost all over the island. Players can also eat honeycomb, eggs, Pandora’s Lunchbox, and marshmallows without ruining the challenge. We recommend you cook all these food items at a campfire to increase their effectiveness.

It is also worth noting that some plants can inflict a poison effect on you in PEAK. This only applies to berries, mushrooms, and fruits.
