Marvel Rivals has given players their first look at the upcoming Klyntar: Celestial Husk map ahead of its release with the launch of Season 3 on July 11. NetEase Games is currently bringing Season 2.5 of Marvel Rivals to a close, which added characters like Emma Frost and Ultron to the popular hero shooter’s ever-expanding roster.

In addition to showcasing its upcoming map, Marvel Rivals also released fresh gameplay footage of Jean Grey ahead of her debut in Season 3. The video showed the Duelist wielding the power of the Phoenix Force to deliver a variety of ranged attacks that deal significant damage to her foes. Jean Grey will also release with a team-up called Primal Flame, which allows her to imbue Wolverine with the power of the Phoenix Force when he utilizes his Feral Leap ability.

In a recent trailer, Marvel Rivals showcased its upcoming map, Klyntar: Celestial Husk. The map is located on the home world of the villain Knull, who is both the god of darkness and the creator of the symbiotes. The map features a dark color palette, as the camera slowly creeps through several areas covered in black ooze and filled with sinister items like Knull’s Necrosword. This is the second map to feature Klyntar, as the first one launched with the hero shooter in December 2024.

In keeping with the theme of the new map, some heroes will be receiving symbiote costumes in Marvel Rivals. It was recently revealed that symbiote-themed cosmetics for Jeff the Land Shark, Squirrel Girl, and Rocket Raccoon will be included in the upcoming battle pass for Season 3. However, it seems as if Captain America will be kicking off the party with his upcoming Captain Klyntar skin, which is scheduled to release in the game’s shop on July 3 at 7 PM PDT.

NetEase Games also has good news for college students who play Marvel Rivals, as they will be receiving some perks with the launch of Season 3. After July 11, college students will be able to register their university email with NetEase Games, which will give them access to 10 free trial skins and MVP animations. The Creative Director of the title acknowledged that some university emails may not be recognized immediately, but he encouraged players who encounter this issue to reach out to the game’s support team. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
