A new leak from Zenless Zone Zero is showing off animations used within the game’s gacha system for Version 1.7’s newest characters, Vivian Banshee and Hugo Vlad. The upcoming update to the urban action RPG from HoYoverse looks to be a big one with plenty on the way between new characters, events, and more. The update will welcome the return of the Fall Guys-inspired Bangboo mini-game as one of the main events during the patch, with several others planned to run throughout its duration. However, two new characters are one of Version 1.7’s most exciting aspects for many players.

Hugo and Vivian have been two of Zenless Zone Zero‘s most highly-anticipated characters, both being teased by earlier events and stories. Hugo first appeared within the Agent Story for launch character Lycaon, later re-appearing during Version 1.5’s “Grand Marcel Adventure” as an opponent in the “Ridu’s Got Boo” tournament. Vivian similarly appeared within the flagship event for Version 1.5, serving as a pivotal opponent for the Proxies within the tournament. Now, both characters are gearing up to make their official Zenless Zone Zero debut.

Zenless Zone Zero Leak Teases Vivian, Hugo Gacha Animations

A new leak shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Flying Flame is showing off the special animations featured within Vivian and Hugo’s gacha screens. Featured on the TV screens surrounding the characters’ in-game models, each video showcases stylized art of their names, Vivian and Hugo’s splash arts, and the emblem for the new “Mockingbird” faction. The post also serves as one of the first official mentions of Vivian’s last name within Zenless Zone Zero, confirmed to be “Banshee” by the video. Vivian is expected to debut with Version 1.7’s launch on April 23, while Hugo will join with the update’s second half.

Both Vivian and Hugo have seen plenty of hype leading up to their release, with each character expected to be a powerful addition to Zenless Zone Zero‘s roster. Vivian’s status as an Ether Anomaly character is set to make her a powerful off-field DPS character, meshing particularly well with other Anomaly characters by increasing Anomaly damage. Hugo looks to lead his teams, on the other hand, as an Ice Attack character, serving as an alternative to other popular Ice DPS characters like Miyabi and Ellen.

Vivian and Hugo’s debut in Zenless Zone Zero comes as lots of new content looks to be on the way for the urban action RPG. HoYoverse recently revealed the game’s “Season 2” update coming within the next few months, introducing a plethora of new characters and the start of Zenless Zone Zero‘s second story arc. Zenless Zone Zero will also celebrate its first anniversary this summer, with new skins for Belle and Wise, Miyabi, and upcoming character Yi Xuan expected to arrive with the festivities. Zenless Zone Zero fans should have plenty in store throughout the next few months.
