The upcoming Humble Bundle page for the Daima Character Pack Part 1 DLC coming to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, which has since been taken down, reportedly revealed eight new playable fighters coming to the game, with a special treat for fans of Vegeta.

Launched in October 2024, the latest entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series made a big impact almost immediately, reviving the popular fighting game franchise nearly 17 years after the release of Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Even prior to its official release, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero put up player counts in excess of 91,000 concurrent players on Steam during early access, and the fighting game sold more than 3 million copies within its first 24 hours.

The unprecedented popularity of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero should encourage Bandai Namco to make a sequel to another popular DB fighting game.

Much of the credit for that success has come thanks to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero‘s character roster, which was already the largest in franchise history at launch, with more than 180 playable fighters. Now, as reported by The Gamer, the leak from the Humble Bundle store has revealed eight new fighters set to make their debut this month, all based on the Dragon Ball Daima anime series. Four of these are variants of Vegeta, with the standard Vegeta (Mini) and his powered-up variant forms for Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, and Super Saiyan 3. Also joining the ranks will be Glorio, Panzy, Majin Kuu, and a version of Goku (Mini) that is discernible from the same character that players may have received as a pre-order bonus.

It’s not entirely clear yet whether the list of leaked characters covers absolutely everything planned for the next DLC pack. There were 11 new characters in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero‘s Hero of Justice DLC, which was released on January 23. Most of those covered different variations of Gohan and Piccolo, but there were also new playable versions of Cell, Gamma 1, and Gamma 2, along with a Red Ribbon Army disguise for Piccolo and three custom battles.

The new leak of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero‘s DLC is the latest entry in a growing trend. A few days prior to the game’s release, internet sleuths on Twitter had already uncovered some of the game’s DLC plans. Even in the months prior to the game’s release, Spike Chunsoft was having trouble keeping the lid on its roster reveals, as fans preemptively unveiled the return of characters from Dragon Ball GT and lesser-known villains like Garlic Jr. and Cooler.
