Electronic Arts has reportedly sent out a survey asking The Sims 4 players questions about InZOI. While The Sims 4 is certainly the king in the life simulation genre, the recent release of InZOI seems to be on EA’s radar, which makes sense considering the title’s success.
Released in 2014 and receiving multiple expansions over the years, The Sims 4 is the latest entry in the popular EA franchise. The life sim was essentially unchallenged in its specific genre until the arrival of InZOI, released in early access last month. InZOI sold over a million units quickly, becoming a big hit and almost hitting The Sims 4’s peak player count on Steam.

Understandably, it seems that InZOI’s success has caught EA’s attention, and the company reportedly sent out surveys asking Sims players what they think of the new life sim. According to a Reddit post made by loco1989, one of their friends told them they received multiple surveys sent from EA asking about their enjoyment of InZOI, including questions such as how many hours they spent creating their Zois, whether they used the game’s clothing editor, and more. While the post did not provide any proof that the survey was real, multiple gamers corroborated the information, confirming that they had received surveys, too.
The Sims 4 Creator Electronic Arts Is Sending Out Surveys About InZOI
EA’s concern about InZOI makes sense, especially considering how realistic its character creator is. Multiple players have been sharing amazing Zois made in InZOI lately, so it could prove useful for EA to learn how much its player base is in love with its competitor’s character creation system, for example.
However, early reports do not seem to show that InZOI will maintain an incredible popularity for longer, at least in its current early access state. InZOI’s player count is way down right now, dropping around 85% since the game launched, when it achieved a peak of 87,377 simultaneous players.
In any case, it’s too early to tell much about InZOI’s future. For example, the title is clearly considered to be in a rough state in its early access, presenting many bugs and some performance issues. However, the makers of InZOI have recently revealed a roadmap showcasing some of the next updates. There’s already a big update planned for August 2025, which will add the South Asian-inspired Kucingku Cat Island to the game. Between August and September, another major update is set to add even more features.
