Genshin Impact Leak Teases New Endgame Content

Summary

  • Genshin Impact may introduce a new endgame with six floors, three teams, and a zero energy start.
  • The Imaginarium Theater has offered fresh content in the Natlan era with new concepts and exciting rewards.

A recent leak in the Genshin Impact community has claimed that a new endgame mode will debut in the near future, featuring six floors, three teams, and a zero energy start. Since the Fontaine era, Genshin Impact has striven to evolve its endgame loop. For most of its history, the Spiral Abyss represented the only source of challenging content in the game, before Local Legends and the Imaginarium Theater gave players more options to put their favorite characters to the test.

The Imaginarium Theater in Genshin Impact has especially been a highlight of the Natlan era, despite its introduction in Version 4.7. Concepts such as Visionary Mode and the new Cryo-Dendro reaction have kept the game mode fresh and exciting, especially with the continued release of cosmetic rewards. However, recent combat events in Genshin Impact have strongly implied that the developers were considering something new altogether.

Much like the Imaginarium Theater was teased with an earlier combat event, “Unlimited Fighting Championship” seems to tease a new endgame mode. According to Seele Leaks and HomDGRat, the developers are testing a new type of Spiral Abyss – six rooms, three teams, and composed entirely of World Bosses. The gimmick of this supposed game mode puts the player’s team at zero energy, placing emphasis on Energy Recharge or Genshin Impact characters that aren’t reliant on their Elemental Burst.

Genshin Impact Could Be Adding a New Endgame Soon

Unfortunately, starting off without energy has been the most polarizing aspect of the Unlimited Fighting Championship, with many Genshin Impact players hoping for the mechanic to never see the light of day ever again. The more cynical voices in the community view this leak as a portent of what’s to come in Nod-Krai. Genshin Impact characters such as Mavuika already have ways of ignoring this mechanic, and with Skirk rumored to have no energy, there’s a possibility that this proposed endgame will advertise new characters at the expense of old ones.

While leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, and early gameplay concepts are subject to change, players should keep an eye out for future combat events as the game heads into Nod-Krai. The southern part of Snezhnaya has been heavily teased since the second half of Version 5.4, and all signs point to fans soon getting a detailed overview of what’s to come in Version 6.0 and beyond. As for Version 5.6, the Traveler and Paimon will find themselves back in Mondstadt to continue the Archon Quest. The upcoming patch will also introduce Escoffier and Ifa to Genshin Impact as playable characters. Version 5.6 is set to launch on May 7, 2025.
