Fortnite Players Want a Major Change Made to Battle Passes

Summary

  • Fortnite fans ask for the ability to earn rewards from past battle passes they own.
  • Reboot Cards can now be purchased from Reboot Vans for 500 gold.
  • Epic Games has added the ability to preview pickaxes and wraps in the locker and Item Shop.

Fortnite fans recently came together to express their displeasure with the way battle passes function, asking that Epic Games allow them to earn rewards from previous passes they’d already purchased. The current season of Fortnite is coming to a close, and many fans are already looking toward the future. While unconfirmed, some leakers believe Chapter 6 Season 3 will be a mini-season with a strong Star Wars theme.

Epic Games recently made a major change to the way reboots function in Fortnite, as players are no longer forced to collect the Reboot Cards of their teammates in order to revive them. Instead, gamers have the option to purchase the Reboot Cards of their fallen teammates from Reboot Vans. The cards cost 500 gold each, which many fans believe is a reasonable price for such a valuable feature. Bringing back a fallen ally can completely alter the course of a match, especially if it’s late in the game.

Fortnite Leak Reveals Adventure Time Collaboration

A prominent Fortnite leaker claims to have found evidence of an Adventure Time crossover coming to the popular battle royale in the near future.

In a recent post on Reddit, essayharper suggested that Epic Games should allow players to grind older Fortnite battle passes, especially if the person has already purchased the pass. Such a change would be a major shift for both the company and its community while making battle passes function similarly to those in games like Halo Infinite and Marvel Rivals. Many people were enthusiastic about the idea, stating that it seemed silly to be denied access to something they had paid for in the first place.

Fortnite Players Want to Grind Older Battle Passes

While the idea proved to be popular with fellow fans, others pointed out that Epic Games makes money off of people who purchase levels at the end of a season’s battle pass. So, players who want to acquire all the cosmetics from the Chapter 6 Season 2 battle pass in Fortnite may end up purchasing levels before the end of the season. Epic Games even offers gamers the option of purchasing a 25-level boost during each season. Because people invest their money in buying battle pass cosmetics at premium prices, many seem to feel the developer won’t make a change to its business model anytime soon. However, one person did mention that it could make for an interesting Crew member benefit.

Epic Games does have a history of listening to its community, as it recently made a major change to pickaxes and wraps in Fortnite. In response to player requests, the developer recently added the option to see wraps and pickaxes paired with one’s character in both the locker and the Item Shop. Gamers will no longer need to drop into a game just to see if their cosmetics match, which has been a big hit with the community. With so many quality-of-life changes to enjoy and even more content on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
