The Switch 2’s pricing has drawn plenty of controversy, both for the console itself and its games, so some players will doubtlessly want to stick to the first Switch if they can.

As for when that day will come, things are less clear. While the Switch 2 presentation reaffirmed that the game is aiming for a 2025 release, that leaves plenty of room for interpretation. A trusted leaker recently claimed that Silksong will come out in June 2025 “at the latest,” which is in line with the Switch 2’s release window. If that’s true, the game could be available on the new console at launch, although fans should take any unofficial claims like this with a grain of salt.
