Nintendo Korea Accidentally Reveals Mario Kart World Rainbow Road

The rumored return of Rainbow Road to Mario Kart World could potentially see unique applications within the framework of the game. The open-world nature of Mario Kart World allowing players to drive between tracks suggests that players may be able to drive from the game’s open-world tracks onto Rainbow Road. Rainbow Road will also likely serve as one of the last unlockable courses within Mario Kart World, typically serving as the final track in most Mario Kart games.

New tracks and bigger races are far from the only twist coming to Mario Kart World with its June release. Mario Kart World is rumored to sport a sizable roster of playable characters, including a variety of iconic enemies like Goomba, Cheep-Cheep, and even Nabbit joining the game. World will also make some changes to how its Kart system works, with players choosing from a selection of pre-made Karts rather than customizing their own. Mario Kart World is set to be a major step forward for the franchise to kick off the Switch 2’s launch.
