Sega has confirmed five games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Switch 2 was the centerpiece of the latest Nintendo Direct presentation. The event saw Nintendo unveil the Switch 2’s price and release date, as well as some of the games that are in development for the next-generation console.
In total, Nintendo confirmed 20 Switch 2 launch games during the Nintendo Direct, though it’s possible more will be announced as we get closer to the console’s June 5 release date. Former Nintendo rival Sega has long been a supporter of Nintendo consoles dating back to the days of the GameCube, and so it’s no surprise that it will be bringing some of its games to the Switch 2 at launch and beyond.

One Sega game that has yet to be confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2 is Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a new kart racing game that’s coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, as well as the original Switch. Switch 2’s backward compatibility means Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be playable on the new console regardless, but a native Switch 2 port has not been announced. It would be odd for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds to skip the Switch 2, though, so fans should keep an eye out for a potential announcement.
If Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds comes to the Nintendo Switch 2, the new console will have quite the selection for racing game fans. Mario Kart World is a launch title for the Switch 2, and it’s also been confirmed that Kirby Air Riders is coming to the new console by the end of the year. On top of all that, F-Zero GX will be playable on the Switch 2 at launch thanks to GameCube games being added to the Switch Online + Expansion Pack service.
