UPDATE 9/20: Xbox has clarified that the 33 Immortals release date was mentioned in error. 33 Immortals is not launching on January 25 and currently has no release date.

Microsoft has confirmed the release date for 33 Immortals, one of the day one Xbox Game Pass games coming in 2025. Only a few months remain of 2024, but they should be absolutely stacked for Xbox Game Pass, barring any release date delays, of course.
The next few months in particular are going to be incredibly busy for Xbox Game Pass. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is coming to Game Pass on October 25, while Microsoft Flight Simulator 24 and STALKER 2 are on deck for November. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be one of the last major day one Xbox Game Pass games released in 2024, scheduled to join the subscription service in December. Xbox Game Pass is ending 2024 with a bang, and there’s already plenty for subscribers to look forward to in 2025.
A number of high profile games have been confirmed for the Xbox Game Pass 2025 lineup, and now yet another one can be added to the list. Microsoft recently released a roadmap of its upcoming day one releases. Said roadmap included a release date announcement for 33 Immortals, which will be joining the Xbox Game Pass lineup as a day one game on January 25, 2025. It should be stressed, however, that 33 Immortals will be hitting Game Pass through the Game Preview program, so it won’t be the game’s 1.0 release.

For those unfamiliar with 33 Immortals, it’s the next title from acclaimed studio Thunder Lotus Games. Thunder Lotus is best known for its 2020 masterpiece Spiritfarer, as well as games like Jotun and Sundered. 33 Immortals is an action roguelike game with 33-player co-op where players have to work together to complete raids. It’s looked incredible so far, and I am very much looking forward to 33 Immortals hitting the Xbox Game Pass lineup on January 25, 2025.
33 Immortals should ensure that Xbox Game Pass gets 2025 started off on the right foot. It will be followed by Avowed on February 18 and Atomfall in March. Other high profile 2025 Xbox game Pass games, like Doom: The Dark Ages and Fable, are currently without specific release dates, but more information on that front should come to light next year.
