Sony has confirmed its return to the Tokyo Game Show 2024 and has now revealed the full PlayStation lineup. Attendees will have various stations to try out over ten first-party and third-party titles on PS5 across Sony’s booths. However, the main highlight will be two booths dedicated to the PS5 Pro, featuring enhanced titles Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Gran Turismo 7. This marks the first time the PS5 Pro will be publicly playable.

Sony hasn’t attended the Tokyo Game Show for five years since it began distancing itself from various physical gaming events and hosting its own online presentations. When Sony confirmed its attendance at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, many were surprised but appreciated the return. TGS 2024 is set to be the largest edition of the show to date, featuring a total of 731 exhibitors across 3,190 booths.


With just a week to go before the Tokyo Game Show 2024 officially starts, Sony has announced the lineup that will be showcased at the event. Some are new games, and some have already been released. On September 26, Astro Bot takes the spotlight, followed by a showcase focused on some outstanding indie games featuring Shuhei Yoshida, head of PlayStation Indies. On September 28, major third-party titles will have their own panels, such as Silent Hill 2, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, and Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Finally, on September 29, a major live presentation is planned, lasting around 60 minutes, for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Director Hideo Kojima and singer Daichi Miura will be joined by director Nicolas Winding Refn, who lent his likeness to the character Heartman. The day will wrap up with presentations for Monster Hunter Wilds and Dynasty Warriors: Origins. All presentations will be available to watch via YouTube.


The Tokyo Game Show 2024 runs from September 26 to September 29 and promises to reveal more information about previously announced titles, as well as introduce some brand-new games. Sega and its subsidiary Atlus have promised to reveal three new games at the event besides the latest pirate-themed Like a Dragon, which was disclosed earlier today.
